By the time you read this, I’ll (hopefully) be on the road, more than likely somewhere in the wonderful state of Wyoming (sarcasm intended). All I have to say is: Moving sucks. I hope I don’t do it again in a long ass time. At least out of state. Six boxes of CD’s later and I think I’m ready to get on with the next stage of my life, whatever that might be. I’m writing this up on Friday in hopes that I’ll have one of the other guys post it up on Saturday. After today, I’m not totally confident when I’ll be able to post any thing up, hopefully the others will pick up some of the slack (HINT HINT). I’m also in a rush to finish this, so excuse me if this turns out rather half-assed.
Goodies From The Inbox
My usual connections were a little quiet this week. A couple up & coming artists dropped by to share some music with me. Be sure to check it out, you never know what you might find…you could end up liking something.
Medina aka Six Million Dollar Man
From the email:
The guy is called Medina aka,
he's from , is a ghostwriter and rapper and right now being
chased by several major labels. He already did some tracks wit the
likes of , Polow Da Don, , & Mark Batson, even
Carlos Santana and is about to drop 2 mixtapes, "Flatbush 2 Simpson Rd"
and "Block 2 Boardroom".
On his Myspace (www.myspace.com/sixmilliondollarman) u can find more
about him, including a fresh crossed-over track which should also provide
a good impression of his forthcomin album!
these are the tracks:
Medina - Number Man (Prod By )
Medina - The Best (World's Greatest) (Prod By Chyna Black)
Medina - Let's Go
Medina - Even Superman Dies
Medina - No Higher Than
Not a bad lyricist but none of the tracks really grabbed. I won’t say they are bad, but maybe not my type of thing. “Let’s Go” is probably my favorite out of the bunch, with “Even Superman Dies” a close second.
Well that’s just as far as Trav has come, so I just decided to post this nevertheless together with some recent material I got in my inbox, hope you find something interesting, Chris:
