Say What?

by Travis on March 1, 2008

I thought I’d post up a couple albums that have been requested recently. In other words, this is an evil ploy to put up a post without really doing anything. I mean, c’mon, it’s 2:30 in the morning on a Friday night, you were expecting something worthwhile? Ha….come back later this weekend as I’ve got SIX (6), that’s right SIX different posts I’ve been working. Now obviously, you won’t see all of them this weekend, but in the very near future. For the time being though, enjoy the albums.

MobStyle – The Good, The Bad, The Ugly (1991)

01. Intro
02. Mobstyle
03. Untouchable
04. Big Nigger
05. Play 4 Keeps

06. Harlem (Uptown)
07. Gangster Shit
08. Rough
09. Used 2 Be A Gangster
10. The Pipe
11. Blowin’ Up

Anytime someone doesn’t know who these dudes were, I just point them to this article

These cats were no joke. None of that fake gangster shit here, this is about as real as it gets. It’s a pretty good album all in all. I’ve always given it some plays when I’m feeling a little pissed off at the world. The cut “Mobstyle” is my personal favorite.

Poison Clan – 2 Low Life Mutha’s (Luke Skyywalker Records, 1990)

1. Low Life Mutha F**kas
2. Spoiled Rotten
3. Jeri Curl
4. That B***h That I Hate
5. Dance All Nite
6. Poison Freestyle
7. Flaugin’
8. Bad Influence
9. You Gets Nothin’
10. The Neighborhood Haps
11. Juveniles

One of my all-time favorite ignorant records. Composed of JT Money and Debonaire, this group used some familiar samples to make a hilarious funny record and made it sound groovy as fuck. The title tracks is a classic that I used to play my senior year in high school as loud as I could as slowly crept down the road in front of the school. Ahhh the memories. Apologies to the person who asked for this the week I was sick back in the beginning of February then couldn’t find the CD. Then I forgot, until someone else requested it. So, finally here it is.
