Hump Day Freebies

by Travis on May 21, 2008

I actually had a couple posts I thought about putting up this morning, but when it came down to finishing them up last night, I just didn’t have the mojo. So, I’ll fall back on some of the fear stuff that I’ve either stumbled across or had sent to me.

Sankofa is one of those dudes that I actually probably should apologize to. He sent me his CD, The Tortoise Hustle, right around the time I was in the middle of my three state move back in October and I never got around to doing a review of it. It was actually a good album that kept Sankofa in my “artists to watch” file. Thankfully, he sent me this download of some new tracks. Good stuff here.

New Basic Weaponry EP Free!

Weapon X and Basic are two artists out of the LA area. I mentioned Weapon X’s album, Portrait of a Starvin’ Artist, in my top 20 albums of the first quarter (and will undoubtedly be higher in the half way point) so there is a curiosity factor on this one. I hope to have more of Weapon X in the future.
