Tokyo Cigar…

Trav says: first off, my HUGE apologies to Tokyo Cigar for spacing this off the past few weeks. This is a track mark the one year anniversary of his sister’s passing. It’s a strong track full of feeling and one that should be heard.——

Tokyo Cigar – One Year

This track was mad hard to do. I’ve never had a problem with making music until I tried to make this song. I made about 7 different beats before I decided on this one. I know it’s just a song, but something like this takes a lot outta you. I hope this joint helps cats get by when dealing with the pain ( my oldest sister cried when she listened to it and a few heads have said that the song hit em like Mobb Deep’s “where ya heart at” and other tracks like it )

Tokyo Cigar

R.I.P Ivy. I love you

This song isn’t new, I made this back in 07 and the reason was simple. I wanted to make sure I kept my friend’s name out there even after death. Disco D was a person who made a great impact in my life and was one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. As long as I continue to do music I will keep his name and memory alive.

“Dream” Inspired by Notorious in Theaters Today.

Separate from the official motion picture soundtrack, this amazing collaboration is a musical journey and lyrical interpretation of snapshots from the new motion picture “Notorious”. The production itself is a body of genius work from Alexander Moro, the new track speaks about the Legend struggle between pure entertainment and real life. Wordsmith draws upon past experiences of the great Notorious B.I.G, speaking from the harsh reality of his drug dealing days to the sad day he got murdered.

Jay Who? – Mr. Anonymous

After blazing the net with one of 2008′s “most creative and clever” albums “Where Da Sidewalk Ends” Chicago’s latest hip-hop torch carrier Jay Who? is back to his old tricks again with his latest song “Mr. Anonymous” which takes a stab at all anonymous blog/forum posters who relentlessly leave bitter comments about artists. In true Jay Who? fashion Jay attacks the self produced track from the perspective of the anonymous poster giving a voice to this infamous internet “pest” whom is tolerated by artists everywhere on a daily basis ……already hailed by as “classic”…….this song is sure to be a favorite.
