B.O.B – Should Have Been the First Album

Posted by: BC  //  Category: Hip Hop

I got this off of B.o.B’s MySpace page back in August. I had been checking on the possible status of his debut LP and saw that he posted a link for this and downloaded it. I read somewhere that his label wanted him to sign a 360 deal, so that appeared to be the reason for the delay.

There are some great songs on here and I’ve had this LP in my rotation like something I spent money on. There are some differences in quality between songs, but overall the quality is good.

My favorites are Generation Lost, Mellow Fellow, Daddy, Created a Monster, Left Field, I’ll Be in the Sky and Cloud 9. Haterz seems to be that one “Let’s appeal to the populace” track. I especially dig Generation Lost with Bobby Ray talking about growing up basically. Some pretty smart lyrics for a 20/21 year-old.
