Hit the nail right on the head… and I feel sebrock, but MAN! The first album?! I don’t know what it is about Hov, but cats around him just don’t make the right moves musically (unless it’s r&b). ‘Ye is the exception.

Back to Wale, I think it would be a better live concert than album. The album says it, when listenin to the joint it gives me Attention Deficit Disorder. Not wack, but not dope. The 9th collabo mixtape > Attention Deficit.

Oh man. I haven’t even heard this yet, but this doesn’t bode well. I loved ’100 Miles and Runnin” and ‘Mixtape About Nothing’ so much, that maybe I’d hoped for too much from a major label album.

i felt the same way when hearing this.

but, hip-hop isn’t just for the heads anymore. imagine, if you will, ‘chillin’ coming on in a club and having the whole place get down into that groove. having an emcee from the underground achieve that i think deserves some support.

let him have this one radio album. my only fear is that the mainstream will spit him out and he’ll come crawling back.

I agree with everything you’ve said about this album. I didn’t even make it through one complete listen.

The Neptunes joint is garbage… I used to love their shit but they haven’t done anything lately that I think is good. Even the shit I’ve been hearing from Clipse’s new album sounds super soft. Where’s that Grindin type of sound?

To lil wayne gucci mane d*ckrifders Wale may seem like emcee god but to true heads Wale is a lightweight. He’s No Brother Ali or Mr J Medeiros or even Jo Well. He’s pretty substandard. I can name five new emcees who can blow Wale away on the mic: Sirah One,Kelley Mak,M.anifest,Krukid & Brother DVooA.

I don’t expect much from industry marketed so-called “emcees” and nor should anyone. The industry has given up producing greatness years ago. True hip hop is interdependent not mass marketed.
