You remember the cat Ahmad? From “Back In The Day” fame? I know a lot of times when we hear about a “back in the day” cat (no pun intended) coming back, more often it doesn’t turn out good, unfortunately. Judging from these freestyles, dude not only hasn’t lost it, he might have gotten better. I’ve known for awhile that Ahmad was making his way back to the rap game, as we played phone tag most of the spring and summer to discuss the “blog game” (still game if you are, homie), but I hadn’t heard any of his new music until now and I must say I’m digging his style.
Dropping his new “video mixtape”, which is another original concept, Ahmad drops lyrics over some beats that I don’t necessarily like, but Ahmad makes them sound half way decent. His style is straight and on point, with a precise flow that I can definitely say is unique. I’m interested to see what kind of sounds Ahmad will craft, as he was always rather dope on the song writing tip anyway. Check it out.

oh shit! People forget this dude was part of the Good Life Cafe. Gotta admit the flow he's using in this video probably wouldn't please my ears for a whole album but the rhymes are good
Lies! That pun was so intentional!
Wow, I was just listening to his debut a couple weeks ago, definitely had a unique style especially for LA at that time. Some pretty mediocre beats on that album too though, which is too bad because he's nice on the mic.
Nice to see Ahmad back in the game. I also support any rapper who uses the word "ho-hum." I wish people would stop rapping over Drake though.
okay, the pun was halfway intentional, but I couldn't let it slide by….haha
Alex, agreed, I wasn't the biggest fan of his original, but I liked it enough to play it often.
Aone, hell, I forgot…haha
wow, i never thought i'd see the day ahmad dropped another album.

i like it.
the whole old man flow he's got goin on.
Diego, nah, not yet…I think he has a mixtape coming out in Jan.
