“Power”-Kanye West (f. Dwele)

Yeah, now I can get with this, ‘uff an “808 & Heartbreak”. “Power” is the supposed first single from ‘Ye’s forthcoming LP, “Good Ass Job”. Strangely enough, this Dwele-featured jawn is produced by none other than Strange Fruit Project’s Symbolic One (S1), good to see him getting some shine from a major cat such as Kanye. So whaddya’ think?

Just doesn’t work! All the elements are there for something fresh but it’s just not executed right. I think the guitar needs to go. It totally ruins the track.

Gotta agree with Hamza21. I like the melodies, percussion, chorus, piano, but the sum of these parts don’t seem to deliver. I think it would be greatly improved if ye–like he claims–would aim for more potent lyricism a la college dropout. Not impressed with his lines here.
