They Made a Hip-Hop Track ???

by OSnapple on July 29, 2010

In my travels through music and life I’ve come across a couple of bands (non hip-hop) that randomly create hip-hop tracks and release them on their albums.   Granted I haven’t seen this happen in a long time, but these two I am about to show you really take the cake.  I would even say that i would be interested in hearing a full hip hop album from either one of these two bands.

Candiria is a Hardcore Metal band that I started listening to probably back around 1999.  For someone who is not familiar with hardcore music this would be a typical run of the mill Metal album that you would probably not buy or even give a listen to.  Well in 2002 they dropped a double album called  The C.O.M.A. Imprint. Here is one of the songs off the 1st CD called

.

Well the goodness comes on the second album with two fire tracks that I couldnt imagine any regular hip-hop artist coming up with.

Next up on the “They Made a Hip-Hop Tack ???” List is a band few probably know about called HashBrown. I probably only ever started listening to these guys because one of my friends , friends was in the group but even still to this day i have at least one of their albums on my ipod. In 1996 Hashbrown came out with this album 50 ft. Doubledoor boxcar which was mostly funk and mellow tracks like

.  But there is one track on this album that I cant put away. Dey Dont Know has the poppy snare and witty flows that I live for check it out:

. Hashbrown has put out a few albums since this one, but in my opinion this was my most favorable.  Feel free to check out the album Miles to Go as well.
