Aspektz & Kenny Powers – Going Down (MP3)

by Eric on September 26, 2010

Any time you mix the wild antics of Kenny Powers (Eastbound & Down) with the shenanigans of Aspektz (True Thorobredz), you’re guaranteed to make a shit ton of memories too good to be remembered! HBO, Miller High Life and True Thorobredz are excited to announce the release of the 7th Inning Stretch – The Mixtape, derived from the wildly successful Eastbound & Down HBO series (written by Danny McBride and Will Ferrell). Throw a case of Miller High Life in the fridge and kick your feet up – season two debuts on September 26th at 10:30pm (EST).

The 7th Inning Stretch boasts a collection of samples from the season one soundtrack and includes a narrative from Coach F*cking Powers himself, remixed and tuned up to ensure your neighbors won’t miss a damn second of the action. Experience the belligerence of Kenny, Stevie Janowski, April Bigcannons and the rest of the crew all over again every time you press play.

Following up a summer season that included the release of two Academic Probation projects (both DETENTION and COMMENCEMENT), Aspektz and the True Thorobredz have been flooding the market with consistently innovative sounds. This edition features even more innovation from beatsmith Agent R, rumored to be working alongside The Alchemist. Combining classic rock songs with the boom-bap sound of the golden era, HBO, Miller High Life and the True Thorobredz will make the entire 7th Inning Stretch mixtape available on October 3rd, 2010 through all Aspektz websites.

To coincide with the season two premier of Eastbound & Down this Sunday night, Aspektz is releasing the first leak from the project “Going Down” using the show’s opening instrumental. Hit the jump for audio…

Wow this shit is sad. This isn’t even pretending to be a blog post. This is the worst marketing BS ever. I miss when WYDB hadn’t sold out.

yeah, but I love some Kenny Powers….but yeah, no comment. As for the “sellout”, take a look around blogosphere and then come back….
