*Rediscovery* Kenny Dope – The Unreleased Project

“The Unreleased Project”-Kenny Dope

Released: 1993, Freeze Records

After many, many years, I was finally able to track down one of the most slept-on, long forgotten of the Golden Era, Kenny Dope’s simply retarded, “The Unreleased Project”.  Released on Freeze Records in 1993, “The Unreleased Project” is loaded with neck-brace required, trunk-pump worthy break-beats!  With features from freestyle fanatic, Supernatural and Ragga-muffins Screechy Dan and Shaggy, “The Unreleased Project” is one of the first instrumental LPs that became a mainstay in my record collection next to the likes of “Midnight Marauders”, “Buhloone Mind State” and The Beatnuts’ debut EP back in ’93.  It’s just a damn shame that amongst all the fodder misplaced on my 3(!) jam-packed hard drives that searching for this album was never even thought of!

Hit the title to scoop it up, and enjoy one of the funkiest instrumental expeditions that the early ’90′s had to offer!
