We receive many e-mails each day and as we will always try to listen to everything that is submitted, sometimes we can not get to them all. Here are a few tips to ensure we are able to listen to your tracks easily and efficiently.

Our main mailbox is based in G-Mail, so if you are familiar with G-Mail you know it allows you yo play Mp3′s as well as YouTube videos without having to leave the screen. So if you have the ability to put in a link for YouTube please do. Although we have no enabled attachments on this form feel free to use it so we can respond so that you can send us an Mp3. We are also very fond of Bandcamp is also extremely user friendly and allows us to quickly listen to your music.

Some things that can slow down the process of having your music checked out is sending large files. The larger the file, the longer the download time, as well as more time for us to get side tracked.

We appreciate all submissions and look forward to hearing new music.

I have read the above message on how to submit music

Just wanted to take the time to say thanks for all that you do to keep real good hip-hop music alive, both new and old. Your compilations are great because they not only re-introduce the classics, but also shed light on some music that may have been missed. Thanks again, keep up the great work.

My name is Elisa and I currently manage Hip Hop newcomer Shaun Wiah. My hope is that he will be featured on Pure Hip-Hop as it is an influential Hip Hop Blog. But if you could just listen to his music and spread the word if you like it. Shaun is currently working on a mixtape to be released Fall 2012. Please check out all of his music here:

Again Shaun Wiah is the Leader of The New School and I know that he could reach his full potential if given some more exposure.

Thank you,

CRIMECHILDREN October 16, 2012 at 3:52 am

I just wanted to express that I am a fan of your website and the promotion of talented artists. I would love if you consider posting my latest project (info below).

Artist: Spark Ly’riq & Manna Maestro (crime children)
Location: Philadelphia
Song title: Fuck Rap

‘Fuck Rap’ is based on the state of hip hop in which we feel the culture has been lost to the appeal of vanities and commercial media. The slightly controversial title complements our feelings on the current state of hip hop which we believe could use more conscience rappers who could make good songs and at the same time display the harsh stuggles of our communities and also try to create an uprising against societies negativities

Crime Children is a movement of young people aspiring to be free from societies shackles and at the same time make music people could bump to!

We can be contacted on twitter: @sparkyriq @mannamaestro

but will collaborate known artists from the whole country.
The project has recently begun, so at this moment it is available

Hello :)

I love your website and visit very often :) This comedy group in my city called UhOh Monkey are known to throw big house parties. Last week they threw a party and more then 500 people showed up to party with these guys. They went and shot a music-video which they call “Scooby Do” – the song is extremely catchy and you can’t stop singing it once your done listening to it. Thought you guys might want to share it along because I feel like these guys are on the come-up to something huge.

- Lyrically incredible hip-hop. (New Artist M.O.E displays amazing talent creating a song about being great while on earth and yet rapping in alphabetical order. Crazy)

JSWISS July 3, 2013 at 12:50 pm

The next generation to follow lyricists and storytellers such as Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and Nas; that’s where JSWISS falls. If you’re a fan of Talib Kweli, The Roots, or Joey Bada$$, you’ll dig JSWISS. As a young college graduate with a journalism degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, this native New Yorker has the energy, intelligence, and way with words to command respect on the mic.

JSWISS has shared the stage with acts ranging from Big K.R.I.T. and Soul Khan, to 2 Chainz and Asher Roth, to renowned jazz keyboardist Nick Rolfe. He’s also collaborated with artists such as Kooley High, Grammy award-winning singer Maya Azucena and DeeJay Element of the Brown Bag All Stars.

JSWISS’s music has been featured on some of the most esteemed hip hop websites such as Complex, The Source, 2DopeBoyz, RESPECT Magazine, EARMILK, DJ Booth, Kevin Nottingham, and blogs in the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Germany. UNC’s biggest student magazine, Blue & White, put JSWISS on the cover with the headline “Rap’s Next Big Thing.” His music has also been played on radio stations throughout the United States. His latest project, Awthenticity, is sure to impress with its display of lyricism, storytelling, and head-nodding instrumentals.
